Bikalpa Gyan Tatha
Bikas Kendra (Alternative Learning and Development
Centre, Nepal)has been offering its programme
from the last eight years. It has run six
eighteen months programme for 150 young women
and girls from Dhading, Rasuwa, Lalitpur,
Morang, Sindhu Palchowk, Kavre, Ilam, Jhapa,
Taplejung, Dhankuta and Sunsari districts
of Nepal for the young indigenous women and
girls from remote places who are in difficult
circumstances and have missed the opportunity
for education. This programme is for the girls
who are above 13 and below 17 years old, from
remote areas, economically poor, speak mother
tonque only and are committed and highly motivated
to work in their villages.
Bikalpa is running as children
village of girls at the moment in Kathmandu
and Morang Sanischare. The village is run with
the philosophy of "Small is beautiful",
believe in "Learning by Doing" trying
to "Learn and Earn and Earn and Learn"
and focus on "What we have and what we
know". They get education in mother tonque
and start to learn various traditional skills
without limiting other possible skills they
are interested in. The girls start by sharing
and teaching other girls what they know. Therefore,
they start by teaching. They mostly learn from
Five Living Books(Learning Centres) created
for them.

Gyan Tatha Bikas Kendra a offert son programme
du dure huit années. Il a couru six dix-huit
mois programment pour 150 jeunes femmes
et filles de Dhading, Rasuwa, Lalitpur,
Morang, Sindhu Palchowk, Kavre, Ilam,
Jhapa, Taplejung, Dhankuta et Sunsari
districts de Népal pour les jeunes femmes
